A Different Kind of King

Mission Accomplished, Day 4

Luke 21: 20-28

Isn’t it “funny” how we often think we understand or know what God is saying or what is going to happen- but really, only God knows! God knows the timing, God knows the bigger picture, God knows the details. Yet, we continually try to interpret and predict! Just like us, the people of Israel thought they understood, they thought they were getting a king to rule their present day Jerusalem! They did not understand the bigger picture and reality that they (and us) were actually getting THE King, The King of the World, that would save us from our own sin, and would bridge the divide between God and us!

What about you? Any eye opening moments within this reading passage? What were your takeaways? What are you trying to predict and interpret today, rather than just leaving it up to God?

Just because of the ages of my littles (4YO & 2 YO), I modified tonight’s activity and made a coloring sheet for them to color while we discussed tonight’s reading passage! Click here for your free download
