Nurse Appreciation!

Nurses in general are amazing, right? But delivery nurses- WHOA!! Irreplaceable Life Savers!! These people help you out of bed, they help you to the bathroom, they help you with your most private areas during the most vulnerable times of your life!! So obviously they deserve much more gratitude and recognition than any one person can give them!! 

So starting with our very 1st pregnancy, I have tried to at least thank them in some small part for everything they do and everything they have to endure- whether it be from a hormonal, sleep deprived me, or one of my visiting family members in the room during this pivotal time in our lives.

I do this by putting together small “Thank You Gifts” This could be anything that fits into your budget.  Here is what I’ve put together for this go-round.  

For our first baby, I filled cellophane treat bags with a Bath & Body works travel size lotion, a chap stick, a Starbucks gift card, and a mini bottle of wine, all tied up with a blue ribbon. 

Of course if you can color match your items, add colored ribbon, and a matching gift tag- even better! In the past, I’ve chosen to go with a blue theme, for our baby boys and of course for this time I went with what else but PINK for our baby girl! The sky is the limit here though- you could go with a seasonal or holiday theme if you were having a baby around a certain time of year, really it’s just about the thought and gratitude you’re showing those heroes!!
